Lana’i Film

On June 2 Robin Kay of Friends of Lāna‘i presented a film to help explain how mainland developer David Murdock’s (Castle and Cooke) plan to cover 1/4 of the Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i with 170 wind turbines — to supply just 10% of O’ahu island’s electricity — would impact the people and the island. The 20-minute film can be seen at the Kalele Bookstore in Kaunakakai or viewed on the Friends of Lanai website.
